210: Törnrosdalen och Karmanjaka

Kanske lite överdrivet, men visst känns det så. Faktum är att om man står på gatan vid det söta huset överst, med ryggen mot det, då har man den här cementfabriken rakt i synfältet. Här måste jag erkänna att jag tycker det blir rätt mycket mer intressanta foton av fabriken än av huset. Av huset tog jag en bild, av fabriken säkert 50. Det här är i Limhamn, i Malmö.

I think it might be interesting to know that if you are outside the little cottage in the first image, you have a direct view of the factory in the second image. And also that I took one photo of the cute hous, and 50 or more of the factory, that fascinated me on a whole different level. This is shot in Limhamn, Malmö.

Lite för kraftigt och skarpt blixtljus för min smak. Det understryker dock katten Lorangas utryck ganska bra.

Den här veckan blir det ännu ett tema inspirerat av “Within the Frame” av David duChemin, nämligen kontraster. De här fula husen ligger bara ett stenkast från en väldigt vacker strand i Trelleborg. De får bli startpunkten.

Vi sätter oss i bilen och åker söderut, alla fyra. Det är en lång och ganska tråkig resa från Stockholm till Skåne. Särskilt efter Jönköping är landskapet monotont och trist. Men med en bra podcast eller bok att lyssna på blir resan rätt angenäm. Motiv: fart & leda.

Jag håller på att läsa ”Within the Frame” av David duChemin, en helt fantastiskt inspirerande fotobok. duChemins bok fokoserar på det fotografiska motivet, i en djupare bemärkelse, dvs den känsla man vill förmedla, snarare än vad bilden föreställer. Inspirerad av boken gör jag den här veckan gör jag därför ett försök att fundera kring motivet och bilden. Jag har tom introducerat en ny kategori som heter just ”motiv”.

Den här bildens motiv är ömhet och samvaro.

Bländande vacker natur, strax utanför Bergen, Norge. Jag valde att jobba ganska mycket med denna bild i PS för att komma bort från det banala. Tycker också att den lyfts av att det sitter en person på klippan.

Here, I chose postprocessing as a way to get away from the most banal.

188:365 Sen kväll i Bergen

Det här måste vara ett av de mest vanliga motiven från Bergen. De här husen är så vackra att det bara inte går att motstå att avbilda dem. Men hur göra en sån här bild till något mer än bara dussinbilden? Mitt recept blev att 1. Fånga dem vid en tidpunkt när ljuset faller på ett smickrande sätt från sidan, i skymningen. Inte helt enkelt med tanke på att det regnar 200 dagar per år i Bergen. 2 Lägga skärpan kort, så att de vackra husen hamnar i fokus, för att leda bort intresset från turister och bord mm. 2. Göra till tonad svartvitt, som jag känner passar den här gamla stadsdelen.

One of the most beautiful places in Bergen is Vågen, and it’s old houses. It’s a veritable challange to make a shot from here stand out. I choose b & w sepia (old buildings) and blur.

187:365 Detaljer i diptyk

Jag och min man bor i en vacker lägenhet, om jag själv får säga… Det är inte helt enkel att fånga på ett intressant sätt på bild, dock. Jag fokuserade därför på några detaljer som jag gillar, et voila.

Details in diptych: Me and my husband live in a beautiful flat, if I may say. Most pictures of it, however, turn out rather dull, so I decided to focus on a couple of details that I like a lot.

Kommer sol… Bilder av Stockholm, Gamla Stan, Riddarholmen går det tretton på dussinet. Ett sätt att göra dem intressanta är att jobba med ljuset, hitta en vinkel, en förgrund. Regnet och ljuset hjälpte till. En annan vinkel finns på Flickr.

Every Cloud: has its” silver lining. In this case litteraly. The rain helped make this awsome view come across. Without the rain and the light this would have been just anther pretty image of Stockholm, like hundreds of others that I’ve taken, and many with me.

183:365 Havet och halvtid

Den här veckan blir det ett tema med samma ursrpung som temat förra veckan igen, dvs. Georg Barrs bok ”Take your photography to the next level”. Nu är jag nästan helt klar med den, och jag kan verkligen rekommendera boken.

Tema för veckan är att ”göra det vackra intressant”. Förra veckan tillbringade jag nämligen i skärgården, och det slog mig hur svårt det är att göra intressanta bilder av allt det vackra som omger en där. Särskilt om man ska försöka sig på landskap.

Just ja. Det är halvtid i projektet. Ett halvår har jag hållit på, utan att missa en dag. Ja, jag har förstås inte laddat upp varje dag, men det var inte heller ambitionen.

The sea and halv way there: This week I am going for a similar theme as two weeks back, witha twist. I will try and make the beautiful interesting, wich is not always as easy as it sounds, since most beautiful motives tend to be used over and over again.

Also, I happy to be half way through the project, not having missed a day.

182:365 Stilleben

Målet med den här bilden var att försöka lätta upp skuggor och skuggpartier, men ända få ett ganska naturligt ljus. I övrigt en ganska tråkig bild, trots fina blommor och vaser.

Utan blixt har bilden sina meriter. Den har t.ex. lite mer mättade färger gick inte att åtgärda i photoshop. Ljuset är mindre platt. Däremot är det tydligare skuggor, och mörkare skuggpartier. Framför allt vasen kommer inte riktigt till sin rättt.

Still life: my goal was to add some detail to the shadows, and it succeded. A bit disappointingly, I think the non flash image has better colors and more interesting ligth, though.
